From first contact to after the delivery of your gallery, I will be with you every step of the way. I am a firm believer that a photo session is more than just showing up and getting your photos taken. From me checking in with you to see how your wardrobe selection is coming along, to texting you a sneak peek of your session a couple days later because I know you can hardly wait - I’m there the entire time.

About your upcoming family photo session

Sessions can take place outdoors at a location of your choosing, or in the comfort of your own home. I have a list of preferred locations that I love to photograph at and will send that over to you upon request after booking your session. We can chat about what you are looking for in your photos and what you are looking for in a location. For locations more than 20 miles outside the Portland area, a small travel fee will apply.

Outdoor sessions start at sunrise (unless it’s a cloudy morning in which case we will meet an hour after sunrise) or about 1.5 - 2 hours before sunset. In home sessions usually take place mid-day. For outdoor locations, please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early, as some locations do require some walking to the selected area. The sun changes rapidly at these times of day and we want to make the most of the amazing light.

You will look the best in your photos if you are wearing something that you feel confident in and love. I send a style guide to all my clients upon booking, and a session mood board by request. I am also available to help with clothing selection (for the whole family!) and color schemes, so if this is something you are interested in just ask!

We live in the Pacific Northwest....beautiful, but also known for the rain. Did you know - cloudy days are actually great for photographs? If it is lightly raining but not stormy, most likely we will keep your session scheduled as is. If it is really raining we can most definitely reschedule! I am very flexible with rescheduling due to weather and will do my best to fit you in as soon to your original scheduled date as possible.

When you receive your gallery, you are able to download your digital images and order prints all in one place! You can also share the link with grandma so she can order prints without having to go through you. If you choose to order your prints separately, I am happy to provide recommendations for some print shops I love!

You can expect to receive your images 1-2 weeks after your session. During busy season (September-December) images may take a bit longer to deliver (2-3 weeks).
